Ymddiriedolaeth Aber / the Aber Trust

 

Ymddiriedolaeth Aber/ the Aber Trust, a registered charity (charity number 1050489), and a 'not for profit organisation' was established in 1995. 

 

The Trust now owns the medieval Gatehouse at GARTH CELYN, Aber and will use this building and the adjoining land for the purposes of the Trust.

The Gatehouse, which is undergoing restoration work, is Grade ll* Listed and is set in a double bank and ditch enclosure that has been Scheduled as a Site of National Importance.

 

Garth Celyn was the main home and court of Llywelyn Fawr, his son Dafydd ap Llywelyn and his grandson Llywelyn ap Gruffudd, the first Prince of Wales.
